Hi There!!!

Well, I just want to thank everyone for their well wishes for my wife. She's recovery nicely and doing very well. She just passed on of her college classes and we're that much closer for her entrance into the nursing program. She's currently a LPN and wants to be an RN and then a nurse practitioner. You go girl!!! So we're celebrating a little...... We're just hanging out now listening to Maroon 5 and I figured I'd catch up and put up a posting. Allot has happen since my last post and I'm trying to figure a way of posting everything in some sort of order. Right now I just feel like writing down whatever comes to mind so please forgive me and bear with me.

Now we're listening to Savage Garden and I feel like Chillin. Did you ever hear "Truly, Madly, Deeply"? I think it is the most beautiful love song ever written. Se La Vi

Hope you're doing well.

Surgery

My wife is going in for surgery tomorrow. She has a hernia that has to be repaired. Apparently this was cause by a surgery she had several years back. I'm concerned about the whole deal but this is what she wants. The last year I had worked as the technical resource for an IT project in a hospital OR. I've seen many operations and I'm fascinated by them. One of the things I wonder is how technically we've come so far but utilized such archaic practices to cure issues of the body. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the great work that's done, I just see a disparity in technology and focus. I cannot wait for the day where main stream medical practices looks at the whole person in diagnosing and curing rather than just the visible symptom. Just my thoughts, I'll let ya know how everything went.

Feeling for Tucson

Good Morning;

Lately my wife has been getting a calling for Tucson AZ. We currently are living in Phoenix AZ. It's funny because all along we've been going to Sedona and Flagstaff which is in the northern part of AZ. I've been so wowed by Sedona that I have expressed interest in moving there someday.

I've been teasing my wife that if we move it's gonna be to Sedona. But truth be said when I settle myself and meditate, I get the feeling that Tucson is where we're supposed to be now. We visited Tucson about two weeks ago, we're planning on going back this weekend.

I'll keep ya updated

Earth Hour

This is an article I copied. Sorry about the advertisement

Downtown Phoenix going dark for Earth Hour

Eugene Scott
The Arizona Republic
Mar. 27, 2008 01:27 PM

From 8 to 9 p.m. Saturday, darkness will fall upon downtown Phoenix - at least that's the plan.

Phoenix is a flagship city in Earth Hour, an international event where millions will ban together to conserve energy by turning off their lights for an hour.

"The city's become very interested in green and sustainable processes and projects, because saving energy saves money on the bottom line, and we need to be good stewards of the public dollars," said Cynthia Seelhammer, Phoenix's deputy city manager.

Regardless of one's opinions on global warming and climate change, conserving energy makes fiscal sense and saves taxpayer money, she said.

The World Wildlife Fund, one of the world's largest environmental organizations, is hosting the event to make people more aware of their impact on the environment.

Phoenix was chosen as a leader in the effort and will turn off all of the power of its downtown city run buildings.

"It sounds easy, but its kind of sticky, when you're talking about big, tall buildings, ball parks and convention centers," said Leslie Aun, spokesperson for the World Wildlife Fund in the U.S. "There's a whole electrical system that really isn't designed to be turned on or off. So to actually pick a specific time in the day and have all of these buildings go off at the same time is quite a logistical challenge."

The first Earth Hour took place in Australia in 2007. More than 2 million people and 2,000 businesses participated by turning off their lights, she said.

"It was such a big deal that the World Wildlife Fund decided to take it to a global platform here in the U.S.," Aun said.

Given the complexity of darkening a major international city's downtown area, the event caught the attention of the world.

When city officials contacted the World Wildlife Fund, they were told that the organizers were looking for a flagship city in the Mountain Time zone. The Fund wanted a major city in each of the U.S.'s continental time zones to participate in Earth Hour and Phoenix was chosen.

The city has a genuine commitment to improving the environment, Aun said.

"We didn't want to go to a place where there was a mayor who though climate change wasn't real," she said. "Sort of our benchmark was, 'is it a city that has a skyline that will be impressive if you darken it? A community that is willing to coalesce around an issue?'"

The other flagship cities are San Francisco, Chicago and Atlanta.

"What's really been wonderful is the way this thing has taken on a life of its on. Not only are we seeing huge participation in the flagship cities. We now have 31 additional US cities to say, 'hey, we want to do it, too, in one way or another,'" Aun said.

Some of the other major cities participating include Honolulu, Charlotte, Denver, St. Louis and Miami.

But Earth Hour isn't limited to city buildings. Businesses, neighborhoods and others have chosen to participate. The city has notified residents about the event via email, newsletter, websites and the telephone message systems.

Candlelight dinners

Stoudemire's Downtown will not only turn off its lights during this peak time for restaurants, but plans to offer an candlelit, economically-friendly menu.

Waiters wearing glow sticks will serve everything from all-natural beef strip loin to an Eco'tini, featuring organic vodka, green tea and an edible orchid.

"It's for a good cause and we just wanted to participate in that," said Alison Bolstad, event coordinator for the downtown Phoenix restaurant. "If we were going to show people the importance of saving the environment, we thought we'd just add something to go along with it."

Bolstad said the response has been encouraging and that they are still accepting reservations for their Earth Hour dinner.

While officials in Australia said their energy use during Earth Hour 2007 decreased as much as 10 percent, organizers don't expect this year's event to make a major difference in climate change. Earth Hour is mainly symbolic, Aum said.

"It's a big issue that transcends race and religion and all the things that connect and divide us," she said. "We don't want Earth Hour to end at 9. We want it to continue to the next year."

Happy Birthday Pablo

I want to wish my brother a happy birthday. He and I haven't talked for over 5 years. I don't think he's mad at me. His wife doesn't like me and in the past I haven't said nice things about her. I think she thinks I'm going to try to separate them. I'm not fond of her but I would never do that. Anyway Pablo is pretty much the opposite of me. I'm the older controlling loud mouth obnoxious brother (or I was at one point). He's the quiet, non confrontational, brother. I think he made more friends than I but I don't blame them. It was easy being Pablo's friend. We grew up together in the orphanage and group homes and no one knows me like he does.

Anyway I love him and I miss him and I hope he is doing well and enjoying his birthday.

Got Milk??????

I'm changing my habits. As a part of my change ans reinventing myself, I've become a vegetarian. Pam has gone on a diet but has decided not to go the vegetarian route. One thing we have done is eliminate dairy products from our diet (I looooove Ice Cream). Mind you we're doing this slowly so we still sneak in a pizza from time to time. One of things we did was stop buying milk and soon butter.

Here's my dilemma. Our kids still like milk and butter. Even though Pam and I have decided to change our diet should we force this on our kids. Part of me says yes it's better for their health and part of me says that I shouldn't go pushing my views on them. They're 16, 13 and 12 and I know some would say (as I have said to them) as long as your under our roof you follow our rules but I have a really hard time believing in that with this issue.

I do believe it would be healthier for them to eliminate dairy. I don't want them to wait until they're in their late 30's or 40's to make the same discoveries I made. AT the same time I want to make sure they have the freedom and confidence to make their own decisions. For now there's milk and butter in the house. We're working together to make a joint family decision. I guess more important than anything it's important for all of us to work together towards compromise.

Sedona 1/2 and Full Marathon 2008

Well, I ran the Sedona 1/2 marathon and man what an experience! I cannot even begin to describe the beauty and the deep sense of oneness one experiences in such an environment and event. The course was a challenging hilly course but it was fun and everyone was very warm and friendly. I had the gang up with the exception of Shelly. We went and visited Cathedral Rock, checked out a couple of art galleries and visited a psychic or two. It was a very busy and gratifying weekend. I've heard other people say it but I truly feel that there is something more to Sedona. Something that touches you deep inside.

Hope you enjoy the pics, My daughter took them all. If you want to see more I'm adding the trip pics on my space.

Hopi Prophecy

The Prophecy of the Hopi Elders:

Here is a river flowing now very fast.

It is so great and swift,

that there are those who will be afraid,

who will try to hold on to the shore,

they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.

Know that the river has its destination.

The elders say we must let go of the shore,

push off into the middle of the river,

and keep our heads above water.

And I say see who is there with you and celebrate.

At this time in history we are to take nothing personally,

least of all ourselves, for the moment we do,

our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.

The time of the lone wolf is over.

Gather yourselves.

Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary.

All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

For we are the ones we have been waiting for.

FEBRUARY, 2008 ISSUE

Dear Friends:

It’s already February, and once again we are incredulously aware of the acceleration of Creation in the swift passing of this New Year!

Time just seems to be speeding passed us as we continue to take part in all the mandatory activities of physical life. Yet, at some very deep level of our being, we all realize that things are in the midst of being spiritually revamped in the world, in the galaxy ...in our Universe. And with this reconfiguring of reality comes the need for a new kind of global awareness. Indeed, a new frontier consciousness is afoot, Friends. Now is undoubtedly the time for all good people to come to the aid of our future humanity.

As we consciously cooperate with the new energetic waves of compassion and peace now washing through the Milky Way, we assure the generations to come a secure place in the distant, more loving land of tomorrow. Although crime, violence, aggression and greed appear to be scaling to heights, heretofore unseen, let us not lose faith in our ability to spread the invincible light of love and goodness. We possess the only real weapon powerful enough to stand victorious in times of travail and challenge. We possess the invincible courage and strength of our spiritual selves.

Fueled by positive thought, sculpted by kind and empowering words, and manifested by humanitarian acts, the earth can soon be refashioned in the likeness of the heavenly realms. That is why we are here. That is exactly why we chose to be born during this time in the history of the world. We have trained for lifetimes to do just this kind of labor intensive work. Our souls are ready and our spirits are fearless. Never doubt yourself.

You are a master of creation and a skilled warrior of light. Together, we shall be triumphant over the forces of darkness now at work in the physical reality. And our victory is inevitable!

Between now and 2012 the brave new world will reveal itself, according to our out-picturing of it. So as these most important moments transpire, be well, be happy, and be of good cheer! For in the end, you will be the difference that God makes.

With sincere love and purpose,

Dannion and Kathryn

1/2 marathon, desert fever, New Job

I've been pretty sick for awhile, the docs couldn't figure it out. they would put me on antibiotics and I would get better only to get worse again. They thought it was desert fever because they saw something in my xrays but we just got my blood work back and it's not. I'm better now the mystery illness left as quickly as it came. Although it stayed with me for a good month.

I ran the PF Chang half marathon and did what I expected. The doc advised me not to run but that was something I wasn't willing to give up. Especially since they weren't sure what the illness was. Don't worry though I paid the price. LOL

I started my new job and I'm really excited. So far it's everything I expected. Meeting allot of new folks which is always exciting and getting introduced to a whole bunch of new technology. I have to admit, I love being a techy geek. Anyway I'm still on my job honeymoon and making the best of it.

ON another front, I am part of the lightworker web site and really enjoy it. My middle daughter Nicole, got on one day with my account and started asking everyone if they were indigo children. Of course this was without my knowledge and she forgot to tell me. You can imagine my curiosity when everyone started to respond. Once I saw the original message I knew right away who sent it. I give her credit, she's trying really hard to find other kids that are like minded. Both of my daughters are. I jsut don't understand why it's so difficult.

Dream- The Beginning ?

I'm in a time similar to our Victorian time in the early 1900's. It seems like I'm in the south in this huge Victorian building. It's a combination guest house and ward but its huge. In this hose there are three factions of people there's a group of men dressed in the style of the time, there's my group (a combination of men and woman)and there's the people who maintain the house who seem to be all woman. For lack of a better definition my group is new age based, the group of men are a conservative group and the have control of the house or are in charge of it. The maintainers of the house seem to be all black woman dressed in white dresses with red belts and shaws.

The house maintainers are led by a Witch who in my dream looked like the witch in pirates of the Caribbean. In the movie though she was of small stature in my dream she is a tall commanding figure. Everyone is afraid of her, I'm not I'm just more curios.

the two groups stay away from each other for the most part except for functions when we are all together. I spent time with the conservative group to talk to them and learn about them. All along getting this feeling that they have an ulterior motive. in this group there are these twins. One of them is very friendly and genuine, the other is very quiet and cordial. Of course I find myself in more dealings with the friendly one. Every so often I meet the quiet one and can inly identify him by the way he treats me.

I end up going to the other side of the building where my group is. I have to mention we're on the second floor. I don't know why but that is important in the dream. As I write this I suddenly remember that I wrote about a dream awhile ago where we were in the basement. I feel like this was the same house. I'm talking to my group and there really are no worries about the other group but everyone has this sense that something big is coming (both groups) My group is more excite and the other more apprehensive.

I have to go to the other group because I left my jacket there. I bump into one of the twins and quickly discover it's the quiet one. Even though he's being rude I am very cordial and complimentary as I try to ask his assistance in finding my jacket. The other brother appears and through the efforts of our trio my jacket is found and I'm on my way back to my side.

Again this is a huge Victorian style building and very beautiful. On my way back I manage to go by a set of stairs and fall down them. The strange part is even though I fell down the stairs I end up on the third floor. I'm met by these two maids and they're very nervous. "You're not suppose to be here" they say. "You have to go back". I ask "Why, what is this place?" they start to walk with me guiding me to another set of stairs. AS we walk I'm looking around. It looks like a huge ward full with sleeping children. We get near a set of stairs and I stop and ask again what is happening. The maids are nervous and I glance to the stairs and see the bottom of the dress of the witch. We're off to the side so she cannot see us. But I know she knows I'm there and she's just standing listening to our conversation. They say to me you have to leave soon . I gently say to them back I don't want to leave I want to stay, I want to know what's happening so I can help. All of a sudden the maids gasp because apparently time has run out. AS I look across the huge room children begin to wake up. they have blue purplish pajamas and just get up and look at me. not one of them is older than 6 years old. It's an amazing site.

The head witch starts walking down the stairs to talk to me. I wake up.

A couple of changes

I made a couple of changes to the site. It's a new year and with the fresh start I kinda figured the change was good. Besides, I think it better defines what I want to do. I might change it a little more as I want something more than what it currently has.

Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year.
